This compares fee cost only. It does not account for settlement speed, refund or chargeback fees, bank coverage, or onboarding time — any of which can outweigh a rate difference. Confirm every term in writing with the provider.
How it works
Malaysian gateway pricing is negotiated per merchant, so this tool holds no rates of its own — you enter the ones each provider quoted you. What it does is the part that is genuinely hard: weighting each method's cost by your actual payment mix.
FPX is commonly priced as a flat fee per transaction and cards as a percentage, so the cheaper provider flips depending on your average transaction value and how much of your volume goes through each method. Two identical rate cards can produce opposite winners for two different businesses.
Fee cost is only part of the decision. Settlement speed, refund and chargeback fees, bank coverage and onboarding time can all outweigh a rate difference — confirm each in writing before signing.
Every gateway comparison you will find online publishes rates, and every one of them is out of date, because Malaysian gateway pricing is negotiated per merchant. This guide gives you the nine criteria that actually decide it, a scoring sheet, and the arithmetic to turn three quotes into one answer.
